As a fellow dog owner, I know how hard it is to stay motivated to take them for a walk on days when the windchill is in the -20C region. Once in a while I can get away with not taking Scully out for a day but if she isn't exercised enough, she wakes me up in the middle of the night so most of the time I brace myself, put on my ear muffs and all the winter garb and just take her to the park to play with her doggie friends or to play fetch with me if no one else is around. Scully sends her love to Duke and Mia (and all the kitties too)!

I like the segue you used here from talking about your pets to how our voice and the words we choose carry our message. Well done!

I'm thinking about running a weekly blog feature that is all about my travels to Ireland (3 separate trips in 1998, 2000 & 2003) and the adventure I found while I was there in order to let people in on some of my personal experiences that have really influenced who I am today. I kept detailed travel journals and I have shared them before with some people who told me they were quite amazed by everything I'd been through in a country that I love but didn't quite seem to love me back. What do you think of this idea, Jill?
